There was a tune humming in my head for a year or so, and the tune itself evoked the feeling of a love song. But at that stage I had no lyrics to it at all.
So with nothing in mind, I decided to write my lyrics about "nothing" — "Nothing better to do… than be around you… to think about nothing but you."
This is a love song for a lazy afternoon, when there's nothing better to do than doing nothing with you. The music is a little hard to describe — an amalgam of smooth crossover jazz, rock guitar, passionate lead vocal and silky smooth jazzy backing vocals, sitting in an easy-going crossover pop-country-gospel vein.
